Etsy lovin'...

So, I blame...Catherine for this!!! I have just gone and bought a pair of those gorgeous crocheted slippers from whitenoisemaker ..so cute!


And speaking of cute...I am also extremely tempted (blame Anna) by this little chap with his itty bitty golden boots...


And that little tail...gush!! Doesn't he just make you smile :)

The weekend...

Had a nice weekend and hope you did too. We got up early on Saturday and drove up to Belfast …we had made an appointment at the “Genius Bar” at the Apple store (still none in Dublin) for 12:40 and we arrived at 10:00 so had a little time to enjoy coffee and muffins and do a little shopping!! Was really surprised and delighted to find a Comptoir des Cotonniers concession in Victoria Square – I first came across this store in the south of France and bought a bunch of stuff. Of course, I was a lot more flush with cash back then and so, it was with great trepidation at my potential spend that I approached the counter to make my purchases…however, I have been putting a little aside for winter gear and that is what I used…I bought a gorgeous parka (granite colour - doesn't really show up well in my crappy photos!)…really cosy and snuggly, and a dress..I also bought a dress in the sale in Jigsaw..bargain! The lighter coloured dress is the one from Jigsaw. We then spent an hour sorting out all our Mac issues (it’s so great having this free service available!) and followed that up with a yummilicious Pizza at Pizza Express…my all time favourite pizza place..I had the Fiorentina…my mouth is watering thinking about it!






I forgot to bring my camera so no snaps of some of the beautiful old buildings in Belfast – sorry…next time! On Sunday, we lazed around watching TV and reading the newspapers - it turned into a bit of a “period drama” day, with “Sense and Sensibility” in the afternoon, “Becoming Jane” (the life of Jane Austen) last night and I recorded Wuthering Heights too. That was it and now it’s back to work on a miserable Monday..poo!!

Oh...and, we bought a Fret Saw along with some lovely walnut and birch woods…am planning a little project …will let you know more about that later.

I stumbled (can't remember what I was looking for at the time) across the Gennine's lovely blog and was completely captivated by Gennine's work so promptly headed straight over to her Etsy store and spent the longest time trying to choose some prints...I think she is an amazing artist, I love her subject and her beautiful use of colour....here's what I am expecting in the post (all the way from Mexico so it could take up to four weeks)...check out Gennine's Etsy store...I hope you will be as wowed as I was :)

Oops...second post today - I forgot to mention this.....

I have just bought one of these!! Kind of a mini-polaroid...only available in Japan but you can purchase on ebay. I heard about it through the lovely decor8 blog! Am really hoping it arrives before I go away on hols...should be fun to use and of course I love the cute design!

Birthday!

It was my birthday yesterday! Now, I am not big on telling the world it's my birthday or on major celebrations but I do expect a little fuss from my husband! I love my coffee but no matter what machines I buy, I am never quite satisfied (plus I don't like anything too complicated) so this is what B gave me for my birthday - it's a Nespresso coffee machine...so neat and slender, just right for my little kitchen!

If you haven't heard about Nespresso, here goes...there are special Nespresso coffee machines (a variety of manufacturers make them) and you buy these pretty little Nespresso coffee capsules...they come in a variety of strengths, richness etc...you pop them in to your machine, press a button and hey presto...yummy delicious espresso or americano (with perfect crema too) in just 60 seconds!

B also bought me a voucher for my favourite facial spa which I am very much looking forward to when the "bad stuff" (exams etc) is over! We are going out to celebrate on Friday (also celebrating the return of my brother from overseas (he has been working in Chad for the past 5 months) and then on Sunday we are going to the War of the Worlds at the O2! Nice :)

Crazy busy....

....work is crazy but hey...still time to make a few little purchases on Etsy! This pinafore from Pamela Tang at Etsy...have been hankering after it for some time now and my lovely mother gave me some early birthday money last night so...voila..in the bag!



Cute I think! Also, bought this pretty garland from Catherine at Little Glowing Lights Etsy store...it's so pretty!



And am returning these shoes to Boden...just don't really like them as much as I thought I would...back they go...



Keeping it short, with nothing on any "crafting" at the moment - just need to get my exams out of the way and hope that work calms down and then life can get back to normal! Hope you have a lovely weekend!
